My first thought is “man, i wish i had the time to do this!”. In any case, I’m happy someone actually did it. Uniform and Logo design have become so Action Sports…and frankly, it looks dopey.

Wes Kull created a comprehensive list of every NFL team and re-imagined their logos to be, in his words “He likes to watch football but wishes that some of the NFL logos were more Budweiser and less Bud Light.”

Browsing through the Mac App store a few months ago and stumbled onto a cool little resource: PageLayers.

The concept and execution is really simple: type in the URL to the app, wait for it to create a layered PSD and edit away!

I’ve found this app to be incredibly useful when having to make design adjustments to comps and live sites. It’s especially useful when you have a client who’s looking to re-skin their site without fundamentally changing the framework and layout.

The layers are named generically, but that’s a small price to pay to have EVERY element on the page on it’s own layer.

Checking in with Cameron Moll this afternoon and took a look at the post he wrote about the redesign of Target.com. The site simply looks stunning.

It moved toward a trend of Print Design inspiration…an approach i’ve always loved and am starting to use more and more.
